Holy Rosary Catholic School exists to serve two purposes: to provide an excellent education and to create a Catholic environment in all facets of daily life. The curriculum maintains a high level of academic excellence while students learn to have respect for the rights of others as individuals with moral and spiritual values.
The Leadership
Father Orrin Halepeska is the pastor of Holy Rosary. Under the guidance and administration of Father Orrin, the school is growing in spirituality and size and building a stronger community. The Leadership Team of Holy Rosary wants each student and staff member to reach his/her fullest potential using the gifts God has given each one.
The Faculty and Staff
The Faculty and Staff at Holy Rosary come from varied backgrounds. All of the teachers are degreed teachers from accredited universities. Most of our teachers are state certified, and many hold specialized certificates. Five members of the staff have advanced degrees. All of them are here because they love to teach and love to share their faith as a benchmark for who they are.
The Classes
The elementary building houses grades Pre-K through Third grade. The Pre-K program, designed for 3 and 4 year-olds, focuses on the development of the whole child. Kindergarten through fifth grade classes spend the majority of the day with the homeroom teacher, except for specialized courses, which include music, computers, Spanish, art, physical education, and library skills. The upper school building currently holds fourth through eighth grade. Our Middle School is departmentalized with a homeroom teacher for each class.
The Before and After School Care Program (BASP - Additional Fee)
BASP serves as a support group between the school and the student’s home. We strive to have a home-like atmosphere for the students with a staff that shares a history withHoly Rosary School. Ann Dubay, our Extended Day coordinator, and her staff, have many years of experience assisting the students of Holy Rosary.
BASP consists of two sessions: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Any Holy Rosary student may participate in any of the sessions. The student simply enrolls, registers in the program, and receives bills on a bi-weekly basis based on actual usage.
Because the after school program includes a very diverse age group, we strive to have something for all students. We furnish a snack, have a set homework time and finish our day with outdoor activities or indoor games. The BASC program incorporates our same school philosophy.
